Position Overview
Matrix Geo Solutions Ltd., India’s pioneer in LiDAR, Drone Mapping, and Digital Engineering, seeks a technically advanced and visionary LiDAR Scan-to-BIM & Simulation Expert (Sr. Manager) to lead the full spectrum of 3D reality capture, modeling, simulation, and analysis projects.
The role combines Airborne (ALS), Mobile (MLS), and Terrestrial (TLS) LiDAR expertise with advanced Scan-to-BIM, Simulation, and Digital Twin applications, delivering high-precision datasets for Railway Yards, Bridges, Monuments, Archaeological Sites, and Forensic Reconstructions.
The candidate will ensure end-to-end project success—from LiDAR processing to BIM model creation, simulation visualization, and proposal vs actual analysis—while driving innovation in AI, Automation, and XR-based visualization.

Location: New Delhi (with national & international project coordination)
3. Key Roles and Responsibilities
A. LiDAR Processing & 3D Data Management
– Lead ALS/MLS/TLS LiDAR data processing, including calibration, classification, strip adjustment, and registration.
– Perform DTM/DSM generation, meshing, cross-sections, and volumetric analysis.
– Integrate Drone, GNSS, and IMU datasets into LiDAR workflows for multi-sensor precision.
– Ensure vertical and horizontal RMSE ≤10 cm and maintain metadata traceability.
B. Scan-to-BIM Modeling & Analysis
– Convert point clouds into BIM-ready models (LOD 300–500) using Revit, Civil 3D, and MicroStation.
– Extract architectural, structural, and MEP features; validate model geometry and scale fidelity.
– Conduct proposal vs actual site deviation analysis using cloud-to-BIM comparison and QC dashboards.
– Implement clash detection, tolerance verification, and geometry QA/QC for engineering validation.
C. Simulation, Visualization & Flythrough Creation
– Develop high-fidelity 3D simulations, animations, and flythroughs for engineering review and DPRs.
– Create proposal vs simulation vs actual comparison videos for client presentations and progress validation.
– Integrate 4D (time-based) construction sequence simulations for project monitoring.
– Ensure engineering accuracy within visual simulations, maintaining geometric and coordinate consistency.
D. Project Delivery, Documentation & Quality
– Define and monitor QA/QC gates for all LiDAR-BIM deliverables.
– Prepare Technical Reports, Deviation Analyses, and Methodology Notes.
– Coordinate cross-department workflows (Survey, LiDAR, BIM, Visualization) for seamless output delivery.
– Maintain structured data governance, version control, and gate-pass validation for final deliveries.
E. Research, Automation & AI/ML Integration
– Develop automation scripts (Python, FME) for QC validation, classification, and metadata tagging.
– Implement AI/ML algorithms for feature extraction and semantic segmentation from point clouds.
– Establish Matrix Geo’s AI-based QC pipeline for automatic anomaly and deviation detection.
F. Advanced Technical Scope
– Develop LiDAR-driven Digital Twins integrating BIM, GIS, IoT, and simulation datasets for real-time asset monitoring.
– Conduct structural deformation and displacement analyses for bridges, tunnels, and monuments.
– Create forensic reconstruction models for incident simulation, trajectory analysis, and visual evidence reporting.
– Deliver interoperable outputs (IFC, CityGML, LandXML, Revit, Navisworks) compatible with BIM360, Maximo, and ESRI.
– Design immersive VR/AR/XR environments for stakeholder engagement and decision-making.
– Lead proposal vs simulation vs actual comparative analytics and performance benchmarking.
G. Innovation, Leadership & Client Interface
– Mentor multi-disciplinary teams (LiDAR, BIM, Visualization, AI).
– Present visual deliverables and simulations in client review meetings, tenders, and DPRs.
– Support business development through technical documentation, demo creation, and project proposals.
